Ultra Wideband Technology Moving Forward, Says CCIA President Ed Black

Washington, DC- Commenting on the report just released by the National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA) on ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, Ed Black, President and CEO of CCIA, the Computer & Communications Industry Association expressed pleasure that the report recognized UWB technology as one of the most promising technologies of our time. “We are pleased that the test results confirm that operation of UWB devices need not interfere with government services,” said Black.

CCIA has full confidence that the Federal Communications Commission will impose appropriate regulations and power limits, and looks forward to the FCC’s timely completion of its rulemaking. This submission marks another important step in the FCC’s work toward a final report and order to enable UWB to create new life-saving applications and deliver significant consumer benefits.
