CCIA Disrupts Its Disruptive Competition (DisCo) Blog With A Redesign

Washington — The Disruptive Competition (DisCo) blog that covers disruptive innovation and the policies that enable it  launched its new blog design today. The Computer & Communications Industry Association started its DisCo blog more than five years ago before tech competition issues were news headlines.

Since then, the technology policy experts have written published posts on issues ranging from trade to competition policy. The new design makes articles easier to find through better search as well as categories. The blog is in keeping with CCIA’s 45 year history of advocating for policies that enable next generation innovation to enter the marketplace and compete. CCIA’s early members built products that relied on IBM mainframes, and CCIA supported antitrust cases against IBM, AT&T and Microsoft over the years and is currently advocating against the Sinclair merger.

The following can be attributed to CCIA President & CEO Ed Black:

“At a time when disruptive competition is the center of the conversation, thoughtful, fact-based discussion is more important than ever. We need to provide those who understand the law and public interest concerns more opportunities to be heard. Our trade association has supported antitrust regulation when it is necessary to protect consumers, but it needs to be used to remedy problems. Otherwise it risks losing its credibility.”
