“Competition Policy as Innovation Policy”

CCIA hosted an exciting competition policy program on Tuesday, October 27 from 12 – 2 pm at the Newseum in Washington, DC.

The Obama Administration has placed a high priority on innovation as a key component to driving economic recovery.  Rarely discussed in the realm of competition policy is the role that antitrust enforcement can play as a tool to enhance innovation and national competitiveness in areas like technology and telecommunications over the short and long term.  As the Administration executes on its agenda for economic recovery, should competition policy be used as a tool to enhance those efforts?  If so, how?
