Understanding Search: The Infrastructure, Innovation & Impact of Today's Search Technology
9/15/2011
In an era of information overload, search engines help
Internet users find the information they want. Access to this information is a
human rights issue as well as an economic one. But search engines are often
criticized by businesses frustrated with search engine rankings and by
restrictive governments around the world demanding that search results be
filtered.
On September 20th, the Computer & Communications
Industry Association will host a panel discussion on Internet search and how it
impacts businesses, consumers and the Internet as a whole. Complimentary
breakfast will be provided.*
