Amy Levine is Subcommittee Counsel to Chairman Rick Boucher
for the Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet of the
House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Previously, she served as Senior
Counsel to Chairman John Dingell on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce
for Telecommunications and the Internet matters, as Legislative Counsel to Senator
Claire McCaskill of Missouri for Senate Commerce Committee issues and as
Legislative Counsel to Mr. Boucher, handling communications, technology and
intellectual property matters for his work on the House Energy and Commerce and
Judiciary committees and the Congressional Internet Caucus.
Before
working for Mr. Boucher, Amy practiced communications and media law as an
associate at Covington & Burling. Amy received her J.D. at Yale Law School
and has a bachelor’s degree in political science and international studies from
Yale University. Prior to joining Covington & Burling, Amy clerked for
Chief Judge Jerry Buchmeyer in the Northern District of Texas, and she
previously served on the staff of former Senator J. Bennett Johnston.
