Ken Kurokawa

Director, International & Legislative Affairs

Ken Kurokawa is Director of International and Legislative Affairs at the Computer & Communications Industry Association. He has had extensive business experience in Japan, including over 7 years with the Sumitomo Bank Ltd, a major Japanese bank, and maintains many contacts within the Japanese business community in Washington, DC. Prior to joining CCIA, Kurokawa worked on technology issues as a Government Relations Intern with the Information Technology Industry Council. Mr. Kurokawa received his M.A. in Political Science from American University's School of Public Affairs. He received his B.A. in Economics from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.

At CCIA, Mr. Kurokawa works on international issues such as trade agreements, export controls, and immigration reform. True to CCIA's core principle of open markets, he works with industry coalitions for promotion of free trade and a practical export control regime. Mr. Kurokawa is uniquely qualified to work on the issue of legal immigration reform and the push to increase access to H-1B work visas and green cards for skilled workers, having personally gone through both processes after arriving from Japan. As Director of International and Legislative Affairs, Mr. Kurokawa is also working to expand CCIA's involvement in international issues and the international community in Washington, DC.
