National Broadband Plan

The Federal Communications Commission has before it a singular opportunity to develop and implement a holistic, forward-looking National Broadband Plan that will make affordable, high-speed and open Internet access the norm for all Americans. Running water, electricity, and even basic phone service were once considered luxuries, but we have left those days far behind. As we endure one of the greatest economic crises in our nation’s history, we must have the vision and resolve to provide economic opportunity, improve political discourse, and increase access to education and health care by ensuring bits flow as freely as drinking water. Simply put, broadband is opportunity, and we must embrace broadband deployment and adoption as signature challenges of our age.
