Danielle Yates
Director of External Affairs
Danielle Yates is Director of External Affairs for the Computer & Communications Industry Association. Before joining CCIA, she worked as the Communications Director for the Internet Education Foundation - a non-profit organization that coordinates the educational programming of the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee.
Ms. Yates started her political career focusing on municipal legislative issues for a successful San Diego City Council campaign. She then moved to Washington to intern in the press office of Senator Boxer from California, where she was able to gain considerable experience in the areas of public policy, media relations, and political strategizing. Prior to her position at the IEF, Ms. Yates served as the Account Coordinator for Binger Communications, a boutique media and public relations firm in San Diego, CA. Ms. Yates is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Culture. She has also received a Professional Certificate in Event Management from the George Washington University.
