Deputy Geneva Representative
Matthias Langenegger is the Computer and Communications Industry Association's Deputy Geneva Representative. In this role, he helps to represent the interests of the association and its member companies on a range of issues, including intellectual property, Internet governance and international trade policy vis-a-vis the international organizations and UN member-state delegations based in Geneva.
Mr. Langenegger joins CCIA from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the international policy body responsible for the coordination of the Internet’s unique identifier system. Prior to that, he worked in the Secretariat of the United Nations’ Internet Governance Forum. He holds an M.A. in International Relations from the Institut de Hautes Etudes Internationales et du Développement in Geneva.
A Swiss national, Mr. Langenegger is a native German speaker and also fluent in French and Spanish.
