CCIA Comments On FCC’s Mid-Band Spectrum Inquiry

Washington — As the FCC expands its efforts to facilitate the most efficient and effective means of deploying broadband technologies, the Computer & Communications Industry Association filed comments today saying this mid-band spectrum is well suited to meet the demands for next generation wireless broadband. In its filing, CCIA said the FCC “should promote flexible uses that will account for bands that have the best potential for speedy deployment and investment.”

The following can be attributed to CCIA President & CEO Ed Black:

“As countries race to boost mobile broadband speeds and capacity, it will be crucial to deploy more spectrum of all types to meet demand and stay competitive. Between the bipartisan Senate bill and the FCC’s NOI, CCIA appreciates that both the Congress and FCC recognize this need for freeing up mid-band spectrum. This will enable faster, more reliable networks that will be catalysts for innovation, economic growth, and jobs.”
