Washington — The Computer & Communications Industry Association welcomes the Senate reconfirmation of Brendan Carr, as well as the unanimous confirmation of Geoffrey Starks, as commissioners of the Federal Communications Commission. These confirmations fill the five-seat panel, which had been operating at a deficit since Mignon Clyburn stepped down in mid-2018.

The following can be attributed to President & CEO Ed Black:

“These confirmations bring the FCC back to its full strength, which is imperative with so many important issues to be decided. CCIA looks forward to working with Commissioners Carr and Starks, along with the rest of the Commission, as we continue our efforts to promote broadband deployment, competition and spectrum reallocation.”
